Did you know?

Did you know that the PrettyUglys are sewn up on my mother's old sewing machine, circa 1960s? My mother made our clothes on this machine when we were kids and even my matric farewell dress.
Did you know that the body of each PrettyUgly is the same size? A square cut from fabric, 140mm x 140mm, then other bits added.
Did you know that all the eyes for the PrettyUglys are buttons my mother collected from our old, discarded clothes? I have made hundreds of PrettyUglys and still have so many buttons left. In the photograph you'll see the buttons in my mother's 'nähkasten'.
Did you know that the reason the PrettyUglys have trim applied is to cover up my hand stitching when I sew them up to make them whole?
