The girl who loved Fellmaa

A sweet little girl, about 9-12 years old (I can never really tell. Some 13 years olds look 18 to me), with blonde, frizzy hair and a cute smile, picked up Fellmaa and held her and then looked at some other PrettyUglys. But somehow, for some strange reason, she had fallen in love with Fellmaa. She told her mother she wanted her, and her mother said: Jammer, dis te duur. The little girl just stood there holding Fellmaa, her mother said: Vra jou Pa. As mothers often do. I promised her I would keep Fellmaa aside until the afternoon. And they left. A half hour later she returned with her aunt. The little girl picked up Fellmaa and hugged her tight and the aunt said: Nee, jammer. Some time passes and at last the father comes to meet Fellmaa. OMW, he thinks it's so ugly, he can't spend money on this thing. Disappointed the little girl left again. Two hours later, the father and the little girl returned. The girl was so happy, grabbed Fellmaa and skipped around with her. The father handed over his credit card and said: Ek moet dit maar koop. Sy is so velief op die ding, ek verstaan dit nie, maar ek sien nou hoe gelukkig sy is. I thanked him for making his daughter happy. For making me happy, because my heart was so sore when I saw how disappointed she was. I thought he was the most wonderful man I had met that day, a man who could understand happiness, and wanted his daughter to know joy. M'wah!

Dreams do come true

Abel went to live with a young woman on a farm. M'wah!

So difficult to choose

This French man put out all these PrettyUglys, and couldn't decide. Eventually he took Carla, she left the gap between the two PrettyUglys on the end, on the right. Subsequently, over the next few days, all these others were also sold. Lufflee, Gatspee, Schumpel and Hazel.

Slow afternoon at the market

There I was slumped over, while there was a slump in trade on a summer afternoon.
I found the pic on #kamers2014, from http://instagram.com/manmakecoffee, posted here without his kind permission ;-)
